“Okay,” the Repairman finally said, looking at the mind-swapped duo. “I do think I have some things we can try…”

He began wringing his hands. If he had feet, they’d be shuffling awkwardly. He’d never tried anything like this before, but it was a common enough trope that he would at least be able to do something, he hoped.

“…Ready?” he finally asked, his uneasy gaze shifting between the two.

“Is this really gonna work or am I going to have a bruise on my head…seems kinda absurd but at this point I’m willing to try anything.”

“We’ve got no other options, Ravio. I’m desperate to make this end all this.”

“So what, do you have some kinda magic spellor something? Lay it on us.”

“…Uh…yes,” the Repairman replied, carefully. “I do have things that I think are magical, but…let’s see if more mundane, common solutions work, first.”

He took a deep breath. This was all for curing this. Don’t worry…

And with that, he leaped up, grabbed their heads and banged them together. A sound like a cymbal clashing was heard. Quickly, he jumped back. Understandably, they would probably be a little miffed at that.

After a moment to let their pain ease a little bit, he looked at the two.

“…Sorry about that,” he said, truthfully. “It apparently works a lot for this kind of thing. Any luck?”

Is anybody ok with my muse mentioning your muse in a thread they have with somebody else?

insaynee:

       YESSSSSSSSSSSS.

this is a pretty big issue for me actually.

and not just because it’s really amazing to see what other muses
say, think and feel about your muse when they’re not around but
because I WANT SOME CONTINUITY. i am trying to create a
continuity for my character where everything that isn’t an AU
has feelings and actions making sense depending on a timeline
and people they know and love. actions have consequences.
        relationships and events change people.

roleplay without that is… well, repetitive… & not very fulfilling to me.

Collab Attempt #3

askthefwrp:

[[Okay, so I’ve tried to get a Haunted House collab off the ground twice before, but I imagine I did it during bad times (people were too busy, etc.), so I’m bringing us the chance to build a summer haunted house!

Here are the rules:

Each submitter is making one room for a haunted house. Your room can be funny, cute, scary, or anything in between, so long as you have fun and be creative!

OCs, muses, and the like are not only allowed, but encouraged!

This is not Ask/RP blog exclusive! If you’re an artist and you want to participate, please feel free!

900×900, please, for the sake of simplicity. No borders, either; I’ll worry about that.

SFW only. Just because this is a haunted house doesn’t mean it’s the Rocky Horror Tumblr Show (as fun as that would be, I would rather have us do something everyone could enjoy, not just adults).

Know that the final house will be shown from the side, and plan accordingly.

– Please put your piece in my submit box by June 30, or let me know if you need an extension.

Happy haunting!]]

“I baked cookies. Want some?”

“Hmm?”

The Repairman turned around to see a rather small (not Tiny) Toon smiling at him. He just had to smile in return.

“Oh, hi there!”

He would have been happy to take the cookies, but he was still holding up some planks that needed to be nailed to the Wall. At least he could still talk; one of the advantages of not having a mouth was that you could hold nails where it was supposed to be and still carry a conversation.

“Sure, just gimme a minute to get this set up!”

The inkblot started hammering away, but seemed to slow down for a moment.

“Actually, I don’t think we’ve met…What’s your name?”

“Hey, you see Link anywhere? You know, green hat, blonde, spiritually prone to heroism…”

alinkbetweenportraits:

“Poe guy. It’s me. I’m Link. Don’t ask me how but I woke up looking like this and we can’t change back. I don’t think you have any answers do you?”

“...Oh!”

The Repairman believed this pretty easily. Not only was it a common thing in Toontown and related universes, but Link thought he was a Poe. The shopkeep thought he was a choo choo or something.

“All right, do you remember anything before this happened…?”

He racked his brains, trying to recollect the common ways something like this happened. If he could find the cause, the remedy should be easier. Stood to reason…

Songbird perked up as the repairman
emerged from another drawer; she had thought her chance at escape had
been lost. With renewed hope she watched the blob’s movements. How had
he gotten out of the drawer and into another? She watched him board up
the door and hummed softly to herself, waiting. She was curious and
wanted to ask questions, but now certainly wasn’t the time.

Sure
the door was barricaded, Songbird gave a sharp chirp as a way of saying
‘I’m still here, don’t forget about me!’ quickly. She wasn’t sure what
the blob was going to do now, but she hoped this time it would get her
out for good.

“Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten.”

The Repairman squinted, trying very carefully to pick the lock manually. Several boings, twangs, and clicks were heard, but judging by the inkblot’s expression, not a lot of progress was being made.

“Oy,” he groaned out of frustration. “This is a good lock.”

“Either that,” he did not add out loud, “or I’m just bad at picking locks.”

He reached into his hammerspace and pulled out a small box labeled “ACME Automatic Lock Remover”. He reached into it and began to read the instruction booklet aloud.

“…Thank you for buying…quality assurance…not liable for damages…Ah! ‘Using the Lock Remover’! Step one: place Remover on or next to lock.”

He pulled the Remover out of the box. It was a narrow, bright-red cylinder, with ACME proudly stamped on it with black ink. A long string came out of the top of it. After a bit of fiddling, the Repairman managed to stick the bottom of the device into the keyhole.

“Step two: light fuse to begin activation process…Um, okay…”

He pulled out a lighter and flicked it a few times, before finally lighting the far end of the string. Slowly, the flame climbed up the fuse.

“If you hear a prominent hissing noise, it’s working correctly…All right…Step three…take cover…”
