“Hang on, I think I have a shrink ray somewhere…” *rummages from the silver 70’s sci-fi gun, mumbling* “…Wait, did I have it smelted?…Why would I…?”

monokuro-adventures:

“Wait, wait, you’re gonna make us even tinier?!” Susumu started to panic. If she had been more than a few inches tall, she would’ve smacked the gun away from him. “We need to be bigger, not smaller!”

“No, no,” the Repairman hastily explained, “It had a reverse function…”

He kept digging, trying to find the accursed thing.

“…at least, it does if I didn’t smelt the thing for extra material…”

“Okay,” the Repairman finally said, looking at the mind-swapped duo. “I do think I have some things we can try…”

He began wringing his hands. If he had feet, they’d be shuffling awkwardly. He’d never tried anything like this before, but it was a common enough trope that he would at least be able to do something, he hoped.

“…Ready?” he finally asked, his uneasy gaze shifting between the two.

“Is this really gonna work or am I going to have a bruise on my head…seems kinda absurd but at this point I’m willing to try anything.”

“We’ve got no other options, Ravio. I’m desperate to make this end all this.”

“So what, do you have some kinda magic spellor something? Lay it on us.”

“…Uh…yes,” the Repairman replied, carefully. “I do have things that I think are magical, but…let’s see if more mundane, common solutions work, first.”

He took a deep breath. This was all for curing this. Don’t worry…

And with that, he leaped up, grabbed their heads and banged them together. A sound like a cymbal clashing was heard. Quickly, he jumped back. Understandably, they would probably be a little miffed at that.

After a moment to let their pain ease a little bit, he looked at the two.

“…Sorry about that,” he said, truthfully. “It apparently works a lot for this kind of thing. Any luck?”

“What the– OW?? Lorin Almighty I’m gonna have a headache for a week! You could have been a bit gentler blobby chuchu guy!”

He paused, before looking down, seeing the robe and his own flimsy arms.

“I’m me again!! I don’t have to be blond anymore! Sweet gods above it I may have a concussion but it worked!!!”

“ACK–!”

“What is your problem!? This isn’t some kinda… Ah?”

Link looked between his friends before staring at his own hands. He held onto Ravio and began hopping in sheer joy.

“Oh thank the goddesses golden we’re back to normal! I was afraid we were gonna be stuck forever!”

The Repairman smiled, satisfied with a job well done. Still, something in the back of his mind felt…off. Too easy, a voice from there was saying, too easy.

He mentally hushed that voice and turned back to the joyous duo.

“Yeah, I’m glad it worked too…honestly didn’t expect that…”

He coughed after a moment.

“So, uh, you need ice or that weird fruit or…?”

Bowyetta nearly dropped the tray she was carrying when she caught
sight of what was happening. “M-Mr. Sir! You have not told Bowyetta you
were being injured! Do not be getting up!” She put the tray on her desk,
then reached down to pick up Mr. Sir’s hat and the strange pink piece
of paper, before quickly handing them over. “Please to be giving a
moment to Bowyetta,” she saidd before entering her small bathroom.

She
returned with a roll of some sort of bandage like material. “Please to
be holding still, Mr. Sir,” the bow creature instructed, and she wrapped
the material around his seemingly-busted light, before planting a quick
kiss on it to make it feel better.

Once that was done, she
picked up the tray once more. “Bowyetta is hoping you will much be
liking of this, Mr, Sir!” The tray contained two bowls, each one filled
with noodles, some sort of broth, and a sliced boiled egg, along with
two cups filled with some sort of fizzy drink, one blue and one yellow.
she handed Mr. Sir a bowl and the blue cup, before sitting down on her
bed with the rest.

She ate in silence for a moment, before looking
at him with a very serious face. “Who is having hurt you, Mr. Sir? It
is being Yaridovich? Bowyetta will be beating him up for you if you are
liking.”

“But I’m not–”

He sighed. Oh, well. It was better than her knowing. He sat still as she bandaged his “injury”.

“…Thank you,” he muttered, sheepishly.

With that, he began to eat the boiled egg, trying to ignore his current predicament.

He looked back at Bowyetta, inwardly hoping she wouldn’t press it. He was in no condition to think of a suitable lie.

“…No, Yaridovich didn’t attack me…” he said, truthfully.

As Shinko got to work on doing various poses with Cat Slime, Belial, glanced down at the ink blot.

“I
don’t usually hold baked goods here. If you’re done working in my cafe,
your best bet would be to head to the new bakery a block down,” the
demon woman replied.

“I’m not busy, so I can take you and
Shinko over there if you’d like. I need to head over there anyways.
Shinko’s been craving cookies for a while. I dunno if it’s a Toon thing,
but she absolutely loves the bakery,” Crystal added.

“Heh, well, I don’t know if it’s just a Toon thing,” the Repairman chuckled, “but yeah, after they’re done taking pictures, I’d like that, thanks!”

He noticed that five of the ten pictures were out.

“Speaking of pictures…”

Click. Picture #6 had an indecipherable ink smudge in front of it. 7 and 8 had the Repairman trying to get his bearings with Shinko and Cat Slime, and he finally got a decent cohesive pose in the final two pictures.

“Heh, sorry,” he said, after it was all done. “I just had to…”
