“Hi!” Marie waved, moving closer to the Bowyer. Clearly, the paint spatter was curious about this odd cast of characters. She grabbed Bowyetta’s hand and began shaking it a touch too hard. “I’m Marie!”
She paused for thought.
“Well…I’m not really his kid…”
The Repairman shook his head vigorously.
“No,” he said, resentfully, “You’re my replac–”
“Assistant,” she interrupted, wearily shaking her head. She paused for thought.
“Since we’re from the same studio…would that make us brother and sister…?”
The Repairman did not reply to this. He had no way to refute it.
Bowyetta’s arm joints could be heard squeaking as she was shaken a bit too hard. “Is much nice meeting of you, Miss Marie,” she replied, sounding a bit dizzy now. “Bowyetta’s name is being Bowyetta.”
Susumu then stepped up to Mr. Sir, handing him a box as she did so. “Well, we just wanted to bring some food for you and Cat Slime, but a new sister? That calls for a celebration, if you ask me!” She then turned to introduce herself. “I’m Susumu! I’m what you might call… Well, for everyone’s sake, let’s just say I’m the embodiment of a… Higher authority, as it were.”
Then it was Beep’s turn to introduce herself. She timidly extended her hand. “Well, Im Beep. I’m sort of the den mother of the void, you might say. If you and Mr. Sir need any help, you can just ask me, okay? Would you like to meet Bonk and Quartz too?”
“Nice to meet you, Bowyetta!” she said, lifting her bow as if she was tipping a hat. Gosh, this…character was interesting!
It took a moment for what Susumu said to register, but when it did, her eyes widened.
“Oh, does that mean you’re a—MMPH!”
The Repairman’s inky hand was suddenly over where the spatter’s mouth would be. She looked, shocked, at him, noting his stern expression.
“Yup,” he said, calmly, “It does.”
“Ohph,” she nodded. “Ophkaph.”
Well, she was new. She was grateful she was saved from blowing it before she did any actual assisting.
Once he removed his hand, she looked back at Susumu.
“Anyway, a celebration…?” she asked, confused. “I’d love to, but…I haven’t done anything yet…”
Finally, Marie shook Beep’s hand, in the same bit-too-hard manner as before.
“Hehe, help the helper! All right, thanks! And sure, I’d love to!”
“Yeah,” the Repairman piped up, “I haven’t met Quartz either. Now’s as good a time as any, I guess…”
At
first, the Denpas didn’t really take notice of anything that was going
on behind them. At least, they didn’t until the pink one heard an odd,
angry squeaking noise coming from behind her. She slowly turned around
and screamed at what she saw. “Eek! M-Monster!” She then took off
towards the lid of the box.
The other Denpas turned around and ran
in terror at the sight of the strange blobby creature. “Run for your
lives! Let’s get out of here!”
However, the blue Denpa wasn’t able
to make it, and instead ended up losing her balance and falling into
the pie. She tried to climb out, but all her struggling just seemed to
drag her further into it, flinging bits of apple and pie crust
everywhere. “Help me! It’s gonna eat me!”
The Repairman, meanwhile, was about to get moving again, so he tossed the key ring back into his toolbox and shut it, humming to himself. Little did he know that he had not only trapped the Denpa-Men, but also possibly threw a pile of metal at them.
Cat Slime glared at the blue Denpa. She had to trip and ruin his pie? He was too busy being offended by that to notice what she was screaming.
He gently picked her up with his mouth, and unceremoniously dropped her onto the pile just outside the pie. His attention turned back to the rest of the Denpa-Men, making sure they weren’t going after his treat again.
“Aiyee!”
Angie scurried behind a booth. Steam filled the coffee shop that the place resembled a scene from a horror movie.
“Hey
dude…you good?” She called out from her hiding spot. The steam was
starting to clear a bit. She craned her neck around the booth in a
cartoon-ish fashion. “Repairman?”
The Repairman was holding still, swaying back and forth. His eyes were nothing but spirals, but at least they were their normal white paint. His siren light, too, was steadily blinking red again. A soft whistling sound could be heard every time he spun.
“…Ya got that in my size…?” he slurred, clearly dazed, before collapsing to the ground with a Crash! The whistling wound down as he fell, to be replaced by loud snoring. His inky form melted gently into a puddle as he began to sleep, no longer able to protest.
At that statement, Bowyetta became angry. “Who is having told you of
this, Mr. Sir?!“ she demanded. “Of course you are much deserving! You
are much being important, are you knowing? Bowyetta is knowing that she
is not having to be doing of all this. But after all you are having done
for Bowyetta? You are meaning of very much to her and her friends. Is
why Bowyetta is wanting to be caring for you, Mr. Sir. You are being of
much importance, and do not be letting anyone say that you are not.”
Cat Slime had hopped up onto the inkblot’s chest, calmly but intensely squeaking at him. It was in a similar vein to Bowyetta’s speech, but with a somewhat harsher, “tough love” edge.
“…I…I…”
If the inkblot was teary-eyed before, his eyes were just two big puddles of paint now.
“…I…you mean it…?”
He was still painfully unaware of his unemployment, but he still couldn’t bring himself to confess.
“A-are you sure…? I mean…I mean…”
The rest of what he said was lost in very loud and rapid sobbing as he buried his face in the blanket.
“I’m Alice Angel, Alice for short, it’s nice to meet you.” she gives the other a small nervous smile
None
of what he said made any sense but Alice is used to weird and strange
things by now. Looks like their both still left with more questions then
answers.None of the ink in this place was safe with the amount of dark
magic Joey Drew liked to do. Guess that didn’t matter much now though
because at least it’s come to a small stop with this chaos.
“That
ink? It’s nothing good, monsters come from it a lot. This place has got a
lot of evil and dark magic in the ink.” Alice does her best to explain
The Repairman nodded in return. “Yeah, I’m glad to see someone else here…”
He grimaced as she explained.
“Oh, that’s why it didn’t look right?” he groaned. “I thought this was just gonna be another lonely job, but now I gotta avoid those things?”
Peeking outside the room, he sighed.
“Well, monsters or not, I gotta fix the Wall.”
He peered to the right, where he knew the crack in the Fourth Wall was. For the moment, he wasn’t really paying attention to his surroundings…
Muns
are the writers, who write back and forth each describing the actions
and words of their of the character they have chosen. I’m going to use
an imaginary person named Sue as the example of a mun.
Muses
are the characters being written about by the muns. Sometimes people
prefer to use character to refer to a muse, but muse seems to be the one
I see the most often. In this case I’m going to use Spider-man as the
muse example.
Threads are the stories written back and
forth by two or more muns about their muses. Let’s say Sue has met Paul
who has Batman as a muse. They write a thread together, which involves a
scenario in which Batman gets bitten by a genetically augmented bat and
Spiderman teaches him to use his new abilities.
Canon
is the official storyline of a show/film/book series that people pick a character
from. So in canon Batman never gets bitten by a bat, and isn’t trained
by Spiderman.
AU is short for Alternate Universe. In our
example Sue and Paul have created an AU where Batman has actual
bat-related powers and fights crime alongside Spiderman.
Verse (or universe) “AUs or places in a
timeline where threads which might take place that are common enough on the
blog to be established things” thanks to @chieftess-of-the-haladin for commenting this on the original post, I had completely forgotten about this one, and it’s definitely important
Starters
are the first post of a thread, which set the scene for the thread.
This blog contains sentence starters, which are things muns can send to
one another via ask to start a thread with. In this case perhaps Paul
sent Sue an ask with “It bit me” which started the entire alternate
universe they have that thread in.
OC is short for original
character, and these are another type of muse people have. In this case
we’re going to use the example of another person named Jude. Jude has
created an OC for the Batman universe named Kevin who is a guard at
Arkham who often ends up in trouble for some reason or another.
Three person Rp (sometimes called Three-person thread) this
is the last one, because now we’re getting into the more complicated
things. If Jude, Paul, and Sue got together and all wrote a thread it
would be one of these, and it can allow for interesting character
development.
