“Ahh,” Rosalina placed her hand on the middle of her chest, “I
see.” In all respect, she decided to step back a bit, letting the fourth
wall repairer to finish his job independently.
“Hmm,
I must apologize for asking, dear sir,” she added. “Usually, I am
thrilled to be available for your assistance to make jobs easier, but I
believe I escalated a little, haven’t I?”
“…”
The Repairman finally produced a hammer and some nails, and was about to make the first swing when he stopped. Did he offend her?
“…Look,” he said, looking down. “I didn’t mean to…It’s just…”
He sighed.
“…I’m sorry,” he finally said. “I’m glad you understand, at least, but I didn’t mean to snap like that…”
Inwardly, he was grateful that Rosalina at least asked him first. Some didn’t even have the courtesy to do that.
The
cosmic watcher hummed in response. The name was self explanatory; it
showed exactly what the fellow repairer was doing. His real name wasn’t
presented, but there’s no need to ask him about it.
Rosalina
watched the Fourth Wall Repairer carried over the cart before
proceeding back to his work. “Dear sir, perhaps you would like some
assistance?” she asked.
“No!” he exclaimed, a little too quickly. He seemed to realize how forceful that sounded after a moment, and cleared his throat.
“…No, thanks,” he tried again. “You’ve helped me plenty already!”
He gave a smile, and pulled a few planks from his toolbox. Setting them aside, he began digging for a hammer and nail.
The
star lady was surprised, and she placed her hand in the middle of her
chest. “Oh dear, I haven’t introduce myself from the beginning, haven’t
I? Where are my matters?”
“My name is Rosalina, and it is pleasure to meet you.”
“Oh, no, it’s fine,” the Repairman chuckled. “And charmed. I’m the Fourth Wall Repairman.”
He began pushing his cart over to the other side. Much easier without spacesickness. And a platform between here and there. Overall, he was trying to think of a good way to thank Rosalina…
Rosalina warmly smiled at the fourth wall repairer’s remark. There
were no other gratitude, even something big, that she can achieve but a
simple ‘thank you’ that was rather pleasant to her than something
either big or nothing.
“I
am always happy to help you, kind sir. That is what I am happy to do.”
she softly stated and turned away to bring the cart over.
Once
the cosmic watcher got there, she spotted the cart that was happened to
be positioned where it was somewhat far than where the repairer there
before. Hmm, maybe one of her Lumas must have moved it back so then it
wouldn’t fell off the edge. The lady in blue floated towards the cart
and moved it back to the repairer.
“Here you are.” she called, bringing the cart over.
“Right,” he said, accepting the cart, “thank you.”
He looked at where the crack was. Huh. Turned out the Observatory made it so he didn’t have to go back into zero-gravity. All he had to do was wheel his tools over to the far end. He was silently grateful for this; space was pretty to look at, but he wouldn’t want to get sick again.
He was about to get moving, but stopped.
“Hey, um,” he said, embarrassed, “I don’t think I got your name…”
“Well
my friend, a place isn’t what we got but instead made by our hands,”
Rosalina explained, ”It’s unbelievable, but it’s true. My Lumas and I
worked together to build this.”
“Um, did you happen to bring my cart aboard too?”
Oh?
Rosalina hummed and tapped her lower lip with a finger. “Surely, it was
located the same spot where you were working. Would you want me to
bring it over now?”
“Wow… I believe it…”
It seemed awfully fitting that Rosalina and her Lumas crafted the ship themselves. The Repairman couldn’t place it, but it seemed right somehow.
“Um, if you could, that’d be nice,” he said. “I really can’t thank you enough for all this…”
Rosalina joined and watched the beacon with the fourth wall repairer. “Hmmm, yes. It’s indeed a beauty, dear sir.” She was much appreciated of the stranger’s compliment. Yes, very appreciated.
“Um, is there a place I can set this? I probably should be getting back to work…”
Ahh, of course. The star woman turned to the repairer. Seeing that her visitor gained all his mojo back, she hummed and nodded in respond. “I’ll be gladly to take it from you.” she said, taking the now empty tea from him.
“Thank you,” he nodded, handing the cup back over to her.
He saw that the crack in the Wall was actually very close to the ship now. How convenient!
As he walked up to it, he couldn’t help but gawk at the Observatory around him.
“How’d you get a place like this?” he asked, awestruck. The place really was something to behold.
Well, there would be time to look around after…after… wait…
Rosalina faced where the fourth wall repairer was looking at. “Ahh, this one.” Yes; he meant this giant mixture color of orange and yellow globe, located at its proper center position. “Do you remember these two green platforms you’ve asked me about? This giant star is where these two circled around it: the beacon.”
“Ah,” he nodded, being careful not to stare at those platforms again. His stomach was feeling better, yes, but why risk it?
He took another sip of tea and gazed at the beacon for a moment or two.
“Can see why you leave it in the open,” he remarked. “Looks really nice.”
He looked around.
“Um, is there a place I can set this? I probably should be getting back to work…”
Meanwhile, Rosalina exited out of the kitchen dome and returned with a tea on a tea plate in her hands. The star lady walked down the grassy steps until she made it to the area where the library and its dome were located, and that was then she spotted a fourth wall repairer, walking towards where her position was presented.
“Oh, I see you’re up already,” Rosalina noticed, “though I think you should take some tea before you proceed,” and then she crouched down and offered the repairer with a cup of tea.
“Oh, thank you,” the Repairman replied, taking the tea. Well, that’s one mystery solved; he was on this lady’s starship, probably because of his passing out.
“And thank you for taking me in there. It’s pretty nice.”
He looked around, seeing not only the vast reaches of space (ugh), but also several domes, each of which seemed themed somehow. He looked around his host’s ship until his eyes settled on a large fiery globe in the middle.
He took a sip of the tea, and immediately began to feel a bit better.
“Hey, what’s that?” he asked, indicating the globe.
As the sound of a THWACK was occurred, Rosalina was startled and turned her attention to the poor blob on the floor, looking as if he was melting like a candy radiated from a hot sun.
On the other thought, her understanding that the fourth wall repairer was exhausted from his duty, and she believed he deserved some rest. Already, the cosmic woman thought about it, so she called her Lumas to carry the fourth wall repairer, and she leaded them to the library dome.
Once inside, Rosalina grabbed a cozy yarn blanket from her favorite rocking chair and placed it on the nearest circular stool as the Lumas carefully placed the fourth wall repairer onto it. As the blob was on the blanket, she pulled it and placed it over his blobby body. Now the fourth wall repairer was coated in a warm blanket, Rosalina had one more thing she had in mind to aid this fellow: a soothing tea.
And so, the lady floated away to the kitchen as her Lumas began to follow her.
When the Repairman’s eyes finally stopped swirling, he was shocked to find himself wrapped in a very comfortable blanket, in what looked like a den or small library.
Apparently, he was still in space, as he still felt a little ill, but the more earthly look certainly helped to ease that. And it felt like there was some gravity here, which he was certainly happy about.
The fireplace was nice and warm, and he was certainly feeling more relaxed, but his siren light was still blinking, He had to figure out where he was, so he could fix the crack.
Just thinking of where the crack was made him feel queasy again. He decided he’d be more careful.
With that, he went through the doorway to see where he was.
This blog features muses from multiple universes (Rosalina, Edith Up, Wrongo, and Pilot X), all of which interact with each other often. While I have not met the Pilot X mun, the main mun (Sam-Sam) is pretty nice and willing to talk. On top of that, these characters are oddly adorable together. It’s kinda fun to see them bounce off each other (especially Wrongo being the contrarian of the “family”). But hey, don’t take my word for it; check ‘em out yourself!]]
