“Oh, its alright! I think he’s cute enough to get away with that sorta thing!”

She gave the cat slime’s cheek a lil scritchy scratch, then gave his head a small pat before taking her hand back.

“You said he wanted an autograph, right? I’d be more than happy to give him one!”

Cat Slime trilled happily as he was scratched, happily rubbing his cheek on Minnie’s hand.

“I mean, I guess,” the Repairman admitted, continuing to stroke his pet’s head once Minnie’s hand wasn’t there. “I just…don’t want anything to happen to him because of stuff like this…“

Cat Slime, meanwhile, gasped in elation as Minnie offered her autograph. Quickly, he flipped his notepad, holding it in his mouth. He extended an ear to hand the pen over.

“…For now, though, yeah, it’s probably fine,” the Repairman conceded.

“Oh no. No worries.” He giggled. “I’ve never seen you around before. Are you new in town?”

The
blonde leaned forward on the counter a bit. He was definitely a Link
but somehow different. Freckles were sprinkled across his cheeks and
nose and his eyes reflected more of an innocence. Not something typical
of a supposed soldier.

“Ah. Sorry. I really shouldn’t pry, should I?”

The Repairman looked up at the Hylian This was probably the first Link who didn’t seem to notice or care that the Toon was a blob of ink, with two ovals for eyes. He decided not to press it. It was odd enough seeing one of the Heroes of Hyrule in a situation as domestic as this.

“Nah,” he shrugged, “it’s fine. And yeah, in a way, I am… I was just passing through and thought I’d stop by.”

He began looking around again. After a moment, he looked at the blue toolbox at the bottom of his cart, as if expecting something any second.

When nothing happened, he leaned closer to the counter and cupped a hand near where his mouth would be.

“You happen to have any…” he whispered, glancing once more at the toolbox before continuing, “…meringue?”

Immediately, the lid of the toolbox popped up, revealing a small cat-shaped slime with grey skin, green eyes, and black stripes. Cat Slime squeaked enthusiastically, running circles around the irritated Repairman.

“Look, behave yourself, will you– this is no way— ergh!”

He sighed, looking at Link again.

“…Sorry ‘bout this,” he said sheepishly. “Just…”

He snatched Cat Slime and held him close to his chest.

“…He really likes the stuff….”

@silentandtested, continued from here

Watching the other in front of them move so suddenly had them tensing up, but despite feeling like a wound up spring they didn’t move when the other came closer. Their face scrunched up in an odd mixture of amusement and confusion when they could see paper in their hand. E was no threat to anyone, but even so what could paper do?

Seeing as this strange looking man was of no major threat to them, E forced themselves to relax and followed the others lead and walked the rest of the day just on the edge of the light and stopped, giving a little wave.

The inkblot reflexively shuffled back a bit once he saw someone in the light. However, seeing how nothing scary or even suspenseful had happened, he relaxed and waved back at the humanoid.

“Um, hello,” said the Repairman, putting away the paper. He tried moving closer to the other. “You happen to know a way through here? This is my first time in this worl–er, area…”
