If Bonk’s shades weren’t so dark, Cat Slime could’ve seen that she was blinking in confusion. “Alternate… Versions?” she asked.
The first thing Bowyetta noticed, however, was Cat Slime’s new scarf. “Oh! You look even cuter now!” She squeaked.
“Yeah… And he’s so friendly too,” Quartz smiled slightly. She could relax knowing that the group was safe.
Beep
then spoke up with a serious face. “Well, the five of us can’t go
anywhere if it’s that cold out,” she began. “If you don’t mind, we’re
going to have to stay in here, to avoid freezing to death…”
Cat Slime nodded uncertainly. At least, he knew now that his friends were not cursed or something.
Of course, that relief was quickly replaced by pride and vanity. He squeaked happily at the compliments, bending his body as if posing with the scarf.
He continued this as he went over to the kitchen, almost sashaying, squeaking to ask if they needed anything else.
