Medical looked up the stairwell, but ultimately decided to stay behind. She began squeaking to Cat Slime, as though she were trying to warn him about what she saw.

Meanwhile, Jingletooth led the Repairman up to her room. It was mostly dark inside, save for the lights from several pieces of machinery, and a large, sparkling portal at the back of the room. In the center of the room, Spackledorf was laying on a bed. Except, something was different about him. He was shaking a lot, and seemed oddly pale…

Jingletooth smiled, though it seemed more nervous than anything. “He;s my little abomination!”

Cat Slime decided now was not the time for valor, so he stayed back just to provide some comfort to Medical.

The Repairman, meanwhile, looked at this pale cat in mild surprise. Having never met Spackledorf before, he figured this was the one experiment all mad scientists try…

“Oh, wow,” he said, trying to sound cheerful and surprised, “you’ve created life!”

He began to approach Spackledorf.

“You know, you shouldn’t call him an abomination,” he said, still rather casual. "I’m sure he has feelings too…“

Fortunately(or unfortunately, depending), this arrow seemed to have much more energy than the one before him. “Hup!” The arrow began dragging the Repairman towards Bowyetta’s door. “Come on, she’s just this way!” When they arrived at the doorway, the arrow pulled away to alert the others. “Hey Vinny! Bowyetta’s buddy’s here!”

Vinny turned towards the doorway. “Oh, Mr. Sir~! Maybe you can help with Bowyetta~ She’s not eating and her temperature is getting too low… Look at her face~! It’s turning blue~!”

Bowyetta buried her face in her blanket, shivering and puffing smoke from her mouth as she spoke. “Please to not be looking at Bowyetta…”

“Waugh!”

The Repairman, fortunately, was lifted off the ground by the enthusiastic arrow. If he wasn’t, then dragging him over there would have probably left a trail of ink stains to Bowyetta’s room.

As he brushed himself off, he muttered, “Her face was already…”

And then he looked up, and saw her puffing smoke, shivering, and hiding under the blanket.

“Um,” he started, not sure what to do, “y-your arrows are coming up soon. Beepsumu says she might have a way to speed up their fixing…”

He gave a hopeful smile. He had no idea where to start with Bowyer bedside manner.

Ice Station Santa [[W/ Jingletooth]]

monokuro-adventures:

Jingletooth didn’t usually get this kind of alone time. Today, however, the rest of the girls had gone out shopping, and Jingletooth had the house to herself.
Well, mostly to herself. Beyond her own manaiacal laughter and the dramatic music that seemed to accompany her everywhere, the concerned mumblings of her assistant Spackledorf could be heard, and even their pet Medical was providing a few dramatic squeaks of her own.
And then suddenly, everything went quiet.
“SPACKLEDORF?! SPACKLEDOOORF!!”
Medical was the first one to burst out of the room and bound down the stairs, squealing frantically as she went. She puffed up in fear when she saw someone come down the stairs, but relaxed when she saw it was only Jingletooth. Except, she was covered in some odd purple goop…
She stood in silence for a moment before pointing at the Repairman. “YOU THERE!!” She boomed. “Healer of Dimensions! Come with me, and you shall witness… MY GREATEST TRIUMPH!!”

The Repairman was just checking in. He was surprised to find no one was home. Hmm.

Well, that apparently wasn’t true. That weird doctor lady was apparently upstairs, but it sounded like she wouldn’t want to be interrupted. So, he just idly inspected the Wall, after letting Cat Slime out to look around. He figured his pet would be fine in the same house he was made in.

That is, until Medical came down squeaking frantically. Cat Slime quickly sped up to her and patted her back with one of his pseudo-ears, squeaking soothingly.

The Repairman looked up, concerned, and jumped when Jingletooth began shouting at him.

“Oh, um, okay…” he said, reluctantly moving to follow her.

Beep smiled slightly. “Oh, would you? I think I might have a way to get these guys fixed up faster… And she’ll probably feel better knowing that they’ll be okay… Ah, I’ll be up in a bit.” She then continued working on the arrows.

“All right,” he nodded, standing up. He was more gentle with this arrow, having seen the confusion on the last one’s face.

He clambered up halfway up the stairs before stopping.

“Um,” he asked, to anyone who would answer, “Where is her room?”

The arrow was still a bit disoriented, and jumped when he was shaken awake. “…O-of course, Mr. Sir.” He started to make his way towards the stairs, but was flying a bit slowly… “Should I tell her the others are coming too?”

Beepsumu, meanwhile, made her way down the stairs, still looking concerned. “Well… She’s not eating for me either…” She sat back down at the table and picked up another arrow. “She wasn’t looking so good either…”

“Hmm?” the Repairman asked, looking back at the arrow. “Oh, yeah. That’d prolly be good.”

He looked up at Beepsumu, mild worry in his eyes, but said nothing. The second arrow went by in silence, until he had one or two more dents left.

It was at that point he looked up again.

“…Is it all right if I go look?” he asked. “Might as well bring this guy up anyway…”

Beep’s eyes widened slightly when the arrow said Vinny was having trouble. She knew exactly what he meant. She quickly finished with the arrow she was working on, then said “E-excuse me. I have to do something.” She then disappeared into the kitchen.

The dog arrow took this opportunity to speak again. “Well, take all the time you need. They’re not going to die from being smashed, mind you. They’ll wake up as soon as they’re back into shape.” He remembered the bungee cord on his head. “Oh yes, Mr. Sir! We were able to make a new string for Bowyetta. Thanks to you she’s doing just fine, aside from the fact that she won’t eat right now… Anyway, Vinny told me you wanted this back.”

A minute or so later, Beepsumu appeared from the kitchen holding some sort of tray and hurried upstairs.

“Oh, good,” the Repairman replied, somewhat relieved. He still didn’t believe in death, but at least the arrows didn’t have to respawn or whatever.

Still, as he was just finishing up with the first one, he started to wonder if he could speed this up at all…

“Hmm? Oh, thank you.” he nodded, taking the cord back. He sent the arrow he just fixed on its way and picked up the next one. Then Beepsumu caught his eye as she went upstairs.

“Um,” he said, trying to get the attention of the arrow he just patched up, “could you go and tell Bowyetta you’re awake?”

Fight me!

monokuro-adventures:

The dog seemed to be on a rampage, intent on destroying everything in her path, including the Repairman, if need be. “WHERE’S SNOOFLES?!” She demanded. Snoofles? Her robotic-dog-puppy-son she had with Mover & Shaker? Is that what she was on about? For everyone’s sake, she had better find him quick…

(Beepsumu)

Beep didn’t actually want to do this. She had no intent or desire to harm the Repairman at all. But she HAD to, didn’t she, if only to keep her dignity intact? Her cyborg enhancements had given her impeccable aim; if she did end up shooting him, she could at least ensure she did as little damage as possible. In any case, she had no choice but to pick up her pistol and take her place…

(Bowyetta(I’MSORRYIHADTOUSETHIS))

Bowyetta definitely wasn’t acting like herself. She still looked like the same Bowyetta… Well, mostly. Her eyes looked glassy-More glassy than usual, that is-and were glowing an odd purplish-pink color. A look at the arrows showed that they were in the same state as well. Something was definitely affecting them… But what?

(Bonkakira)

“Hey! You been messin’ with Uncle Rupert?!” Bonk was usually a rather stoic woman, but when she was drunk she had a tendency to lose all filters… Fortunately, she didn’t have Rachel or her bat with her at the time. Unfortunately, that wasn’t going to stop her from finding some sort of weapon, or tearing the place apart with her bare hands, if need be…
