Bowyetta was able to remove another arm, and held her breath as more
of the liquid metal substance splashed over her. She felt like she was
going to be seriously sick, but… She only had to be here just a little
longer.

“Mr. Sir!” Bowyetta called out to him. “There is only being one arm left! We must be removing the one in the center!”

She
didn’t know how easy that was going to be, however. The shadow’s body
was collapsing faster than she imagined, and the center arm was very
large… Nevertheless, she began sawing at it.

One look at the thick arm, and the Repairman threw the pickaxe aside. Instead, he decided to pull out a jackhammer. It had a thin layer of dust on it, which quickly shook off as it roared to life.

Unfortunately, this sent the tool flying, along with the hapless inkblot, who realized as he screamed why he never used the thing.

The jackhammer went this way and that, occasionally landing a hefty strike on the arm, but most of the time just going around randomly with a very dizzy Repairman on top.

((Fired! AU)) “Hey, Beepsumu, did Cat Slime come by here?” the inkblot asked. His trenchcoat and hat were muddy and torn, and he looked like he had been crying. “…Please don’t tell Bowyetta. Don’t want her to worry…”

monokuro-adventures:

“W-well, actually, Mr. Sir…” Beep didn’t really know how to put this. Cat Slime had tried to tell Bowyetta everything, and she wasn’t sure how to tell him. “Cat Slime… Is upstairs with Bowyetta. But… Neither of them looked very happy.”

Beepsumu didn’t even get to finish that last sentence before the inkblot dashed up the stairs and into Bowyetta’s room. A very worried Cat Slime noticed and bounded over into his open arms.

All the wear and tear on the inkblot’s garments seemed to fade off. He happily embraced his pet, silently vowing to keep him in his more direct hammerspace for the foreseeable future.

I missed you…”

He turned to Bowyetta, slightly teary-eyed.

“…Thank you!” he said, voice wavering. “Where was he?”
