“…Ahh~!” Vinny was startled as he was quite suddenly pulled out of
Bowyetta’s hair. His usual smile returned once he saw Mr. Sir. “Oh, Mr.
Sir~!” he greeted. “How is everything going~? Was Bowyetta able to-”

When
he saw Bowyetta, however, his eyes widened and he pulled away from Mr.
Sir. “Oh no… Is… Is she going to be okay…? What… Happened to
her…?”

Vinny wasted no time in diving back into Susumu’s
hair. When he returned, he was followed by several other arrows. “Right,
everyone, you know what to do~!!” he instructed. The arrows gathered
around Bowyetta, and after some trying, managed to lift her up,
carefully placing her onto the stretcher. As the rest of the arrows
returned to her hair, Vinny turned back to Mr. Sir. “Do you need any
more help, Mr. Sir~? Or, can we get her out of here now~?”

“I don’t know, she just fell over…” he started, worried, before watching Vinny fly back into Bowyetta’s hair.

The Repairman was quick to put the stretcher onto his tool cart, after moving his toolbox so it was next to the other one on the bottom shelf.

The toolbox squashed quite a bit. Not enough to endanger the toolboxes, but it would have been irreparable if it wasn’t a cartoon. As it was, the inkblot was sure it would spring right back up when Bowyetta moved off of it. At least, he hoped she would…

“No, I think we’re going back to the void now,” he sighed, gripping the handles. It was going to be a long trip, but he certainly could get there…

After some grunting and strained pushing, they were out of this bizarre place and on their way home.

“Hey, of course it’s okay!” Quartz answered her.  “We made enough for everyone, after all.”

Susumu
turned to Cat Slime, reaching into one of the boxes. “Alright, little
guy, you can have one now,” she said, producing a sandwich from one of
the boxes and handing it to him. “Sorry, it’s not anything too fancy,
just ham and cheese.”

Beep took a look around. “Well, is there
a table around here or something?” she asked. “Or maybe a blanket so we
can have a proper picnic? I think it’d be nice to sit down and get to
know each other while we eat…”

[[I mean, if you need a table…]]

No, that wouldn’t be needed. The Repairman had a table out already, pulling it from his absurdly spacious blue toolbox.

Cat Slime immediately hopped onto the picnic table, happily nibbling on the sandwich. Hey, he didn’t need anything fancy in his treats!

Carefully, Marie sat down on one end, next to her brother. She really wasn’t prepared for anything like this so quickly after she came to be.

“…Uh…Well, erm, what do you guys do for a living?” It wasn’t much, but it was a start. “I mean, other that cuteness competitions, of course”

She scratched under Medical’s chin with one hand and patted Cat Slime’s head with the other.

The Repairman couldn’t help but chuckle at that last remark. Gosh, already she was joking? Maybe if he could keep her from replacing him, she’d be a nice companion anyway…

Shinko raised her hands up defensively. “I wasn’t here for that!”

Crystal
chuckled a bit, “No, it was before Shinko got here. Belial has… a bit
of a temper. And she can get stir-crazy. I don’t know a lot, but she
talks like an old woman, ranting about how back in her day, she’d be
destroying villages left and right with glee. So if she’s angry enough,
she’ll try to reenact her glory days by destroying buildings. A couple
of residents got injured last time, but it was the buildings that took
the most damage.”

“Yeah… that’s why Crystal tells me to be careful
whenever I go to the Cafe. She doesn’t want me to accidentally make
Miss Belial too angry with any Toon-y antics,” Shinko replied with a
sheepish smile.

By now, Falcon had seemingly finished eating and was standing up from his seat to walk over to the living room.

“Oh… you gonna go watch more movies?” Crystal asked Falcon.

The demon nodded before seating himself on the floor, just in front of the television.

“Ah,” the Repairman said, thanking his lucky stars he didn’t mess the cafe up when he fixed the Wall that one time. Still, he wasn’t surprised that it was mostly buildings that got hurt; that seemed to be how things were when rampages like that happened, at least from what he saw…

“Those people turned out okay, right?” Marie asked, a look of minor concern on her face. If Crystal was saying it so casually, it couldn’t have been terrible, but still…

“I see,” the Repairman said, nodding to Shinko. He would have to make a note of that; he wouldn’t want to annoy Belial just by being a Toon. And maybe he shouldn’t sneak in, even if it’s closed when a break in the Wall is there…

His train of thought was interrupted when Falcon got up. Oh yeah; he had to get up soon, too.

“Wanna walk and talk while I go fix the Wall?” he asked, patting his face with a napkin.

We fix the Wall?” Marie asked, quietly but hopefully.

musesgonnamuse:

  • your muse is allowed to underestimate my muse
  • your muse is allowed to disrespect my muse
  • your muse is allowed to provoke my muse
  • your muse is allowed to be a little asshole to my muse
  • and more – !!

So long as you, the mun, understand the consequences of your muse ticking off my muse your muse is allowed to be not nice to mine. Confrontation can be interesting and fun to rp! I welcome it! While you, the mun, should know better than to provoke my muse your muse might not and that’s okay! Mun does not equal muse and vice versa. When your muse provokes mine, disrespects mine, underestimates mine, I am trusting that even if your muse doesn’t know the consequences that you, the other mun, understand there are repercussions for your muse being an asshole.

you want your muse to be an ass to mine? that’s fine – just don’t whine when your muse doesn’t come out of it unscathed.

Adjusting

Once the two of them moved back to the crack in the Wall, the Repairman and Marie carefully opened the red toolbox. It still flipped open far faster than he would have expected. Even the cart was lighter when they pulled it over; it barely resisted at all, and they actually had to stop it before it plowed into them.

“Eugh, what happened here?!” the Marie half exclaimed, looking in. “It’s a mess!”

“Well, it works,” the Repairman half said defensively. “As long as I get my tools out, it’s fine.”

Marie grumbled, but watched as they somehow dug a hammer, several boards, and plenty of nails out of the incomprehensible pile inside the box. She could have sworn they put their hand way further into the toolbox than was possible…

No matter. They still had a Wall to fix. They moved to the crack, held one of the boards up, and…

“Hey! I got this!”

“W-what?” Marie asked, dropping the board. It landed softly in the sand.

“I got this! Just go and…keep…”

He stopped, feeling his sister’s quiet anger. He sighed, realizing how stupid what he said was.

“…Just…I got this, okay?”

Marie rolled her eyes. Fine, fine. Not allowed to do her job even when stuck to her brother? It was fine. No, really.

The Repairman tried to lift the board back up, but his arms felt heavy all of a sudden. He could barely get a grip on the board, much less pick it up.

“H-hey, you don’t have to hamper me!”

“I’m doing nothing,” Marie said, bringing the amalgamation’s hands up defensively. “You told me you got this, so…”

“Ha ha. Yeah, don’t think I don’t see what you’re doing…”

“For the last time, I’m not replacing you!”

“Why else would they send someone to compete with me?”

“…If I wanted to replace you, why would I try to get you out of the blender? Why would I even risk…this…happening?”

The blended blob shook, and the Repairman could feel tears on them. He was silent for a while, staring at the board.

“…You know,” he finally sighed, “if we’re stuck together like this, I guess…I could use the extra hand…”

He looked at their right arm, and how it had two “hands” at the end.

“…Th-thank you for trying to save me from that…”

The board could not have been held back into place faster if it was given ten energy drinks.

hella-rad-brooke:

hey I guys I hate to make this post, but I gotta. So my cat Sassy is starting to have asthma attack way to close to each other. She’s has this for a very long time. We normally every three months take her to the vet and get her a steroid shot. We haven’t been able to get her to the vet due lack of money and being in a new area, so we’re not sure which vet is the best to take her. So, I’m posting this now, because I need to take her to the vet. It’s time to get her shot. I’m worried that I’m going to get some fees for being a new and what not, and I also just have no idea what the local price for a steroid shot is here??? back in my old area it was around $40-50 plus fees. I will make some calls on monday, and maybe get some prices and a appointment for sassy.

The Repairman and Marie moved (quite literally) as one through the bowels of the sepia studio. Things sure have changed since they were last there, and Marie was beginning to suspect that they were lost.

It was slow going, as well; the Repairman refused to let the ink here touch their blended body.

“…Are you sure this is okay, Repairman?” Marie asked, hints of her brothers’s voice echoing as she spoke.

“Look, we should be able to get through here fine,” the Repairman replied, his sister’s voice echoing as HE spoke. The fact that they were now a blob monster was left unsaid, but the Repairman was sure it would help them fit in okay. Of course, he didn’t take into account that they were a navy blue thing in a world of black and white.
