RPers, please reblog this if you’re ok with para responses that don’t include dialogue.
Often it seems like an expectation that dialogue will be exchanged in every para response, but sometimes characters are nonverbal, or don’t have anything to say, or are in a situation that would make talking impractical. If the writer puts enough attention into describing their actions, though, there’s still plenty to respond to even without dialogue.
Non-dialogue responses are not “going nowhere.” Non-dialogue responses are not “filler.” Non-dialogue responses are not non-responses.

“–!” exclaimed the Repairman as he was suddenly pulled into an embrace. His eyes swiveled until he saw a familiar face.
“Oh, hey Shinko!” he said, hugging the girl in return. “How’s the new world treatin’ ya?”

After that semi-disastrous hug earlier, Sparky adopts his animal form (a golden retriever) and tackle hugs Inky. Yay no freezing!
It didn’t take long for the Repairman to recover. A couple shivers after thawing and he was good to go.
“Ugh, that was embarra–OOF!”
And now he was being tackled by a dog. As he turned to look at him, he realized this was one of the Green Guys. Something about the dog reminded him of Sparky…
“Heh, forgot you could do that,” he said, affectionately petting Sparky with one hand and beckoning any other Links that wanted to join with the other. He was pretty sure he didn’t need to worry about ink stains when it came to ghosts.

The Repairman tries to stammer something about “inkstains”, but it didn’t seem like Kitterah cared. After a moment, he returned the hug gratefully.

Okay, you should not hug him because you are (presumably) a real person. From the Repairman’s point of view, it’s like getting hugged by Shub-Niggurath.
As for Bowyetta smooch…He’d be a little weirded out (not only because of being smooched by a Bowyer, but just cause he was kissed), but he’d appreciate the gesture at least.
ADDENDUM: The Susumu persona, not the actual Susumu.
For Susumu’s avatar, the Repairman would accept the hug, but mostly be confused about who this is and why there’s some weird aura around her…
Nonetheless, he’d accept being liked by an avatar of an IRL human.
