The white-haired Denpa suddenly hid behind Susumu as Cat Slime came
charging in. Susumu, however, was simply confused by his squeakings.
“Huh- Wait- Another Susumu? Powers? Size? What- Hey, hey, little guy!
Slow down so I can understand!”Susumu stood up, picking up one of
the glasses as she did so, and took a drink before she began speaking
again. “I think you’ve got me confused with someone else. I mean, is
there really another Susumu? Gosh, I thought I had a really uncommon
name… But, I’m just a simple Denpa-Girl. I don’t really have any special
powers… I have my magic, but all Denpas have that.” She then held up
one of her ears. “If you’re smelling anything weird, it’s probably
coming from us. I don’t know if you can smell our scent, or if that’s
just a thing with our kind… I know, everyone else tells me I smell like
cake and dirt, but… You’ve worked out that I’m not food by now.” She
rolled her eyes at the white-haired Denpa. “Just don’t pay attention to
Quartz, okay? She’s kind of an alarmist. But anyway, you never answered
my question. Who are you, and what are you? Why does a human keep you in
a box for food?”
Cat Slime slowed down, and sighed in relief. It was just someone with a similar name. And similar hair. And similar eyes. Just a freaky coincidence.
He shrugged, not having noticed the smell until now. But yeah, it was definitely there. He chuckled at her remark.
Then he paled as he realized even her friend was named Quartz. It was just another coincidence, right?
He shook his head. She was asking him something; as the host, he had to reply to that first.
He squeaked something to the effect of, “I’m Cat Slime, and I’m a cat-shaped slime. And the big blob of ink lets me live here in his box of stuff. It’s really nice, and he feeds me and takes care of me, too!”
He smiled. The big blob of ink was a busy guy, but he was also real caring.
