“Oh dear goddesses you are cute!!!! I’m Wind!” he all but
squealed, sticking out a hand to shake and completely forgetting about
ghost physics. Again. “Inky! Isn’t this great? Having a little sister is
the best!!! Well, except when she wakes you up at dawn to play hide and seek on your own birthday I guess. Or when she gets kidnapped by a giant bird and you have to cross the whole ocean to get her back. But maybe that’s just me.” Wind muttered the last bit, getting lost in memories for a few moments before remembering Inky and Marie were still there.

“Anyway, hi! I’m one of Hyrule’s heroes… or well, I was. Am? I dunno,
I’m dead now, I’m a ghost! Wooooooooo~” he wailed, waggling his fingers
in emphasis. He then noticed the few patches of frost on Inky’s body,
since the ink blot had handed his scarf over to Marie, and grinned in
embarrassment.

“Heh, yeah, sorry so I keep forgetting that me being a ghost makes it cold for you guys when I’m around. My bad!”

“Y-yeah, it’s something…” the Repairman muttered. He patiently listened to
Wind talking about his own sister. At least Wind’s sister probably wasn’t a replacement…

“Heh, well, nice to meet you, Mr. Hero!” Marie replied, also forgetting how ghosts work until she tried to shake his hand and was left with a heavy ice cube over hers for it. While she winced at the cold, she didn’t seem hindered by the weight at all, as she didn’t comedically topple over like the Repairman would. Instead, she immediately started attempting to pry the the ice off. Her arm made a creaking sound as it stretched somewhat. It was definitely giving, but it still needed a couple of seconds…

The Repairman shrugged, pulling out an oversized holiday sweater. It had an incomprehensible white, green, and red pattern all over it, the kind that makes one wonder just what was in the seamster’s eggnog that day.

“…Eh, no worries. But how come I was the last to know she was coming…?”

That’s what it seemed like, at least, and it was yet another frustrating thing about this situation.
