Link heard someone call for him when he came up for air and glanced back, floating in the water.
“Yeah,
actually!” he replied, holding the box over his head. They were looking
for it? Maybe it wasn’t a treasure chest then. He’d definitely never
seen one like it. Swimming to their side of the shore, he got out of the
water and set it on the ground.Well, they were certainly some
interesting looking folks…Somewhere between a zol and a bot. These guys
were sentient though, and didn’t seem to be harmful in anyway. One of
them even had a cute bow on her head.
The Repairman sighed in relief. He wouldn’t have to get new tools. Marie, too, sighed in relief, but only because it meant they wouldn’t have to fish anymore.
“Thanks,” the Repairman said, gratefully taking the box. He opened it, revealing several small fish flopping on top of his various unorganized tools
Without thinking, he pulled a fishbowl from his hammerspace and scooped the fish (as well as plenty of excess water) into it. Putting it aside, he did a quick check to make sure everything was okay. Finally, he looked back up at the Hylian.
Boy, he looked familiar. Almost like…oh. One of the Heroes…
“Hey,” Marie began to remark, “you look like one of those ghommph!”
The Repairman had quickly cupped a hand over where her mouth would have been.
“Aha, what she meant to say was, you look like someone we know. Have we met?”
He chuckled nervously, gently removing his hand. Marie glared at her brother, but said nothing.
