Medical gave her brother a squeaky growl. There was only room for one star around here, and that was going to be her! Luckily, she had the advantage: He could change his face, but she could change her shape.
It took her quite a bit of effort, but Medical somehow managed to shape
herself into the cutest puppy she could. She even panted slightly for
effect, revealing that her tongue was dark blue and had a sparkly silver star printed on it. She was quite proud of it, after all.

Well. That was… Unexpected. And kind of hurtful. “Replacement?”
Susumu was confused. “Mr. Sir, what are you talking about? No one’s
replacing you! Why would you think they were?”

Marie gasped as Medical became a puppy. These slime things were just adorable!

Cat Slime, however, looked at his sister, unamused. Could she not try to take the attention away from him? Granted, he had a feeling he’d be seeing more of this paint blot, but still…

He did have an ace in the hole that was sure to keep Marie looking at him.

Such a good girl, yes you are, yes you–Oh!” Marie started, interrupting her patronizing of Medical. She suddenly felt Cat Slime rubbing against her cheek, squeaking softly.

“Aww, you thought I could forget about you? C’mere!”

The Repairman sighed, handing a note to the mun. It was typewritten, on a somewhat gray sheet of paper.

“She gave this to me when she arrived.”

Hey, Marie!

As you know, we made you to assist the Fourth Wall Repairman. He has a tricky job, after all, and could use the help. Can you BELIEVE the studio left him alone all these years? I’m sure he’ll appreciate the company.

Who knows? Maybe you can teach HIM a thing or two!

We all wish you the best of luck here! Go get ‘em!

Sincerely yours,

William Bowshem

The Repairman sniffed.

“You see? She’s just…gonna…replace me…”

He looked down at where his feet would be.
