“Aww, I guess that means you have to go now, huh?” Green said, feeling a bit dejected at the conclusion.

“Don’t look so blue, Green! We had an entire afternoon together, although it felt like a lot longer and I’m sure Inky won’t be a stranger after this! If nothing else, the others are pretty bad at… you know… staying in our lane.”
Vio offered, trying to cheer his brother up. Sparky was a bit too
engrossed in how exactly a blinking light could tell Inky that much
information to process the fact that he had to leave at first.

“It
can do that? That’s so neat, how does that even wor- oh. Heh, sorry, we
probably shouldn’t keep you!” he sheepishly concluded, scratching his
face a little bit. “Well, like Vio said, don’t be a stranger around
here! If you have spare time someday I’ll show you more of New Hyrule if
you want, or we can just… hang out somewhere where your stuff won’t get
snagged on moving trains, haha.”

“Yeah…” the Repairman said. “Sorry, but I have a job to do…”

He noticed Sparky taking an interest in his light. More out of a sense of personal space than anything else, he backed up a step.

“Heh, I never thought much of it,” he admitted. He suspected it had to do with the willing suspension of disbelief, but he kept himself from saying that. He already had a job to do somewhere else, after all.

“Anyway, yeah, thank you so much for helping me with this…Heh, I’m pretty sure I’ll be back here again! See ya!”

Cat Slime waved an ear, the Repairman waved normally, and they both set off for the universe next door.
