My guess is that he simply tries to spend more time in their universe more often. He’ll be softer towards fourth wall breaks (though he’s trying to calm down anyhow).

Also, he will try to “fix up” their place for them, and by that I mean “will inadvertently inconvenience them through…unorthodox maintenance methods.” Hey, it’s what he thinks he knows, so he might as well use it to help those he’s affectionate towards!]]
